    Manual dial on an oven

    • 1. Temperatures go up in increments.
    • 2. The exact temperature is not always displayed.

    • 1. Usually have a symbol - low or high heat setting.
    • 2. Need to estimate the amount of heat needed.
    • 3. This estimation is a skill that comes with practice.

    Combi Oven

    • 1. Produces dry heat, steam, or a combination of both.
    • 2. Has a digital display setting.
    • 3. Is accurate to 1oC.
    • 4. Is easier to set temperature.

    It is important to get the temperature right so that we do not burn or undercook.
