Manual dial on an oven
- 1. Temperatures go up in increments.
- 2. The exact temperature is not always displayed.
Manual dial on a stove top
- 1. Usually have a symbol - low or high heat setting.
- 2. Need to estimate the amount of heat needed.
- 3. This estimation is a skill that comes with practice.
Combi Oven
- 1. Produces dry heat, steam, or a combination of both.
- 2. Has a digital display setting.
- 3. Is accurate to 1oC.
- 4. Is easier to set temperature.
It is important to get the temperature right so that we do not burn or undercook.
