A ratio:
- is a comparison between two things.
- tells how one number is related to another number.
- is a useful way of measuring ingredients.
Ratios can be written using:
- a colon (:) or the word 'to'.
For example:
The ratio of 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water (1:2) means that for every 100mL of vinegar you need 200mL of water.
